Mahdi Ali: Today’s match was a chance to determine some player’s levels
United Arab Emirates team coach Mahdi Ali explained that he entered third & fourth match today to determine some players levels who didn’t play the previous matches, pointing that today’s match was a tough game as its official and players playing the game under some pressure.

He added “today’s match is a good test before choosing the last list of Asian Cup, I praise all players for the effort they played, and I praise Oman team for the level they performed telling them hard luck”.

Mahdi Ali also stressed that their ambition was more than the bronze, wishing to make up in the Asian Cup, hoping in the same time that Ali Mabkhout will achieve the top scorer, pointing that individual awards not an aspiration, but it’s a strong motivation for a player who deserve it”.

And about the match level he said “when players play the third & fourth match some frustration will effect on them, especially when the differences between last match and today’s match is little which is hard to control”.

And about the negatives he witnessed their participation in the tournament he said “I won’t be hurry in this team, I will take enough time to realize all things in the team”.
